going paperless.

it all started when husband-to-be began packing up his bachelor goods.
the weekend of his graduation i was visiting, and we found lots of t-shirts he was ready to get rid of.

i thought to myself, maybe we should cut these up...and use them instead of paper towels.
so while husband-to-be went through his shirts, i started chopping them up.

when we moved to CT from FL we pulled them out.
we had ment to only use them instead of paper towels,
but then decided why not use them as napkins?!?!
and so we did.

we keep them in a drawer, pull them out as we need them.
we simply toss them in a bucket when their time is up.
once a week we throw them into the wash with our towels and sheets.
it's so easy.

we did recently upgrade to more "real" cloth napkins.
my parents gave us a set of green ones for christmas, and i made a pair with my good friend.

we haven't bought a single roll of paper towels.  nor have we bought any napkins.

in seven months!

it not only saves money, we are creating just a little less trash.

want to try?
